Food you enjoy. Details you can understand.
We’re building NutriChoice for people who need to follow a specific diet, people who follow one by choice, and anyone who wants to know exactly what is in their food.
One fictional dish,
one example limit.
The sample demo checks six fictional dishes against an example sodium limit and the foods you choose to avoid, and shows the reason for each result.
Have a daily sodium figure you already use? The sodium planner divides it among your main meals, after the share you keep for other food and drinks.
Roasted vegetable bowl
Sodium 480 mg in a 350 g portion — 120 mg below the 600 mg example limit (calculated from the fictional recipe)
Signed by the kitchen (fictional), v1 · Not yet checked independently (demo)
Why: 480 mg in 350 g; 600 − 480 = 120 mg below.
Dataset version: sample-v2
Start with one
restaurant group.
In 2027 the pilot is planned to run at seven locations of one restaurant group in British Columbia and Ontario, with a small number of independent restaurants planned to join inside the pilot areas late in 2027.
Pilot areasPlatform in contracted development
Completion targeted for the first quarter of 2027.
First pilot location
After platform acceptance and full labelling of its menu.
All seven pilot locations
Each after full labelling of its menu.
Bring your preferences to the table.
Know the portion
Compare information for the portion shown, rather than guessing from the dish name.
Look inside the recipe
Explore ingredients and options that can change a meal’s composition.
See the reason
Read a plain-language explanation of a comparison, including missing information.
Find something you enjoy
The planned service combines food preferences with the available meal information.
A useful record answers specific questions
What does the number describe? Look for the weight or serving amount alongside each nutrient value. A total for an entire dish is different from a value per 100 grams.
What changes with your choices? Sauces, dressings and substitutions can change a meal’s ingredients and nutrient values. The planned experience will connect comparisons to a defined recipe and portion, with gaps made visible.
What is outside the comparison? A sodium result does not answer questions about allergens, preparation or personal medical suitability. Keep those questions separate and ask the restaurant about its practices.
